Many decades ago, King Suketu was the ruler of Bhadravathi city. Though deeply in love with one another, he and his wife Shaivya were unhappy as they had no child. One day, they went to the forest after handing over their kingdom to their Mantri (Minister). They wanted to commit suicide.
Then, a realization came upon the King that no sin is bigger than suicide. After the realization, they heard the voices reciting Vedas and went in that direction.
